Your New Workplace

Do you want to work in a strategic and operational role where you are responsible for the finances of some of the municipality's companies? You will belong to the Department of Finance and Operational Management, where you have your colleagues and your main workplace.

In your daily work, you will collaborate closely and be supervised by the respective company's CEO.

The Department of Finance and Operational Management is responsible for ensuring and developing efficient and purposeful processes and provides qualified support to the municipality's elected representatives, administrations, and companies. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall municipal finance and operational management while driving change. You will be part of a competent and committed team that works together to strengthen the municipality's long-term sustainability and quality. The department is led by the Chief Financial Officer and offers an environment where you can grow, influence, and take an important role in ongoing development work.

Your Contribution as a Controller for the Municipality's Companies

In this role, you will work with budget and forecasting processes and follow up and analyze the financial outcomes. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, annual reports, and interim reports, including analyses of goal fulfillment. Furthermore, you will manage investment processes and work on collecting, compiling, and analyzing facts and key figures as a basis for management and follow-up. An important part of the job is to produce decision-making materials and reports for the companies' management and boards.

The position is broad and may also include tasks related to contracts, transactions, and other finance-related issues.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with an academic education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You have several years of experience as a controller or financial manager in a company. You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. Good computer skills and experience with financial systems are required for the role.

We consider the following as merits:

• Experience with tax issues
• Experience from previous work in a politically governed organization

To succeed in this role, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks through a structured and efficient working method. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work well and set and adhere to deadlines.

You have a good overall perspective and the ability to see the bigger picture. You understand your role in the organization and act with the best interests of the entire operation in focus when making decisions and prioritizing. At the same time, you are goal- and results-oriented, working systematically towards set goals and adapting your working methods when circumstances change.
