About the job

In this role, you will work closely with both production and development and research engineers, helping to develop existing production methods and processes. The work is largely project-based, providing you with a varied everyday life filled with significant technical content. You will be involved in all or parts of the process chain within finishing, where safety, quality, and flow efficiency are central focus areas.

Your responsibilities include

  • Developing and improving existing production processes and techniques.
  • Participating in and driving projects as a project manager or project resource.
  • Collaborating closely with production to ensure stable, safe, and efficient flows.
  • Contributing to a predictable industrialization of products within cutting manufacturing.

The group works with cutting manufacturing in processes and finishing, which includes sintering, pre-treatment, coating, post-treatment, as well as the final part with marking, packing, and labeling.

Location

The position is located in Gimo, one of the world's most modern and advanced production units. Travel may occur.

Your profile

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, chemistry, materials technology, or another relevant technical field. Experience in engineering work within production or process development is important, and you thrive in a production-close environment where you can independently plan and balance projects and tasks. Knowledge of thin film technology and vacuum pump technology, such as CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) and PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is an advantage, as well as experience with SEM and XRD. You have good system familiarity, work analytically, and preferably have basic programming skills, for example in Python. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.

You are a curious and communicative person driven by the desire to understand, improve, and develop. You work in a structured, careful, and analytical manner, take initiative and responsibility for your tasks, and have a strong desire to learn new things. At the same time, you thrive in collaboration, build relationships, and actively contribute to an open, inclusive, and unpretentious team climate.
