ABOUT THE POSITION

Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in the country. Here, if you have an interest in electricity and nuclear power, you have a unique opportunity to develop as a reactor safety engineer in the electrical field. This position is aimed at those who see themselves building a career in nuclear power and developing at Forsmark.

As a reactor safety engineer, you will build models of reality. To understand how the facility behaves in different scenarios, you will work on creating accurate simulations. You will belong to a group of a total of 12-13 people, of which your closest team consists of 4 people. You will have a mentor in this group who takes extra responsibility for introducing you to the work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

Information gathering: You act as a detective in both digital archives and physical drawings to find technical data about specific components.
Modeling in PowerFactory: You build and run simulations to analyze the facility's dynamics.
Scripting: For those who enjoy programming, there are great opportunities to streamline work by writing scripts.
Project work: You participate in exciting renewal projects where you contribute with your calculations and collaborate in a broad project organization.
Documentation: You compile your analyses into technical reports that form the basis for important decisions.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Energy Systems
Has good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form, as it is needed in the work

The position is security-classified, which means that a security screening will be conducted before employment. The security screening includes a background check and security interview in accordance with the Security Protection Act. In addition to the security screening, a drug test will be conducted.
