About the Role

Are you a confident leader who wants to seize the opportunity to work for Sweden's largest electricity producer while contributing to Sweden's fossil-free energy supply?

The energy sector is undergoing a significant transformation with increasing electricity demands. Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB plays a crucial role in this development and will remain a stable and long-term electricity producer for many years to come. With us, you will have the opportunity to work in a critical societal function with good prospects for professional development and career advancement.

About the Unit and Team

The Electrical Engineering Unit consists of six groups engaged in construction activities within electrical power, automation (I&C and OT). We are now looking for a group manager for the electrical power system design group.

The group, which consists of 12 employees and around 20 technical consultants, carries out construction work within electrical power. This ranges from 400kV to 24V and from battery-backed systems required for reactor safety to high-voltage generators that feed large amounts of electricity and stability to the transmission network. This requires design work in relay protection, transformers, switchgear, power electronics, electric motors, and more.

The group performs a lot of its own design work but also sets requirements and participates in procurements where suppliers carry out parts of the construction. This can involve large and complex modernization projects as well as simpler component replacements.

Your Responsibilities

The group manager is responsible for all construction work within electrical power at the system and functional level, where you:

  • Lead and develop the group's employees and ensure good conditions so that the facilities maintain or increase safety while the design solutions keep the facilities' availability high.
  • Work in a team-based construction organization where different design teams are staffed with mixed competencies. You will have a particular focus on the teams working with electrical power.
  • Participate in the unit's management team and contribute to the development of the construction operations.
  • Report to the unit manager and participate in both strategic and operational development work.

Requirements

About You

You are a present and confident leader who creates clarity, calm, and direction even when the pace is high. You have previous managerial experience and know how to build engagement, drive the team towards common goals, and help employees prioritize and make wise decisions. You can define tasks, see the bigger picture, and understand when the team needs support versus setting requirements. Relevant education or experience in electrical power is a plus – but it is your leadership that makes the difference. You express yourself simply and professionally in both Swedish and English.

You also have:

  • Managerial experience and the ability to create engagement and drive towards goals.
  • Relevant higher education and/or competence in electrical power.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

As a leader, you stand firm in Vattenfall's LEAD framework – you lead yourself with clarity, provide others with the conditions to succeed, create interaction between teams, and drive results through openness, collaboration, and a willingness to improve. And you dare to make decisions when needed.
