ScandiNova Systems in Uppsala develops and manufactures world-leading pulse generators and modulators used in medical research, accelerator physics, and industrial X-ray applications. Their products demand extremely high standards of precision, quality, and reliability – and this is where you come in.

As a test engineer in system testing, you will work with testing customized machines before delivery. Each system is unique, making the role varied, practical, and technically developing. You will work closely with colleagues in a smaller team where knowledge sharing is an integral part of everyday life.

The role is suitable for you who want to build deep technical understanding, work hands-on, and gradually take on more responsibility – whether you are at the beginning of your career or have a few years of experience.

• Perform system and hardware tests of advanced power and electronic systems
• Conduct electrical measurements and verify functionality (e.g., with oscilloscopes)
• Work practically with system connections, flows, pressure, water and oil systems
• Participate in final tests together with the customer
• Document test results and write final reports

You don’t need to know everything from the start – we value the right foundation, curiosity, and the willingness to learn.

• Has a post-secondary education in electrical engineering, technical physics, automation, or equivalent
• Has basic knowledge of electrical theory and electrical measurements
• Is practical, meticulous, and enjoys understanding how entire systems fit together

• Is proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

ScandiNova Systems is a Uppsala-based technology company that is world-leading in the development and production of pulsed high-voltage units, known as modulators. These units play a key role in various applications, such as scientific research, cancer treatment, and industrial X-ray. More than 95% are exported abroad to countries including the USA, China, India, Japan, and Europe. Among the company's customers are Varian Medical Systems, Elekta, CERN, and MaxIV in Lund. The company currently has 135 employees and is expanding rapidly. The main owners are Industrifonden, Bure Equity AB, and SEB Venture Capital.

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both the client and our side is that after about 12 months, you will be directly employed by the client.
