Bio-Works is looking for a QC Analyst to join the quality team. The quality team consists of both QA and QC with two QC analysts. The main task of the QC analyst is to ensure that all produced products, as well as intermediates and project/development samples, are planned and tested according to applicable QC methods and meet their specifications.

Daily tasks:

  • Plan the daily and long-term QC work together, cross-functionally, with relevant colleagues.

  • Manage/log samples and QC results/trend data for incoming samples as agreed to ensure that assigned samples are tested on time according to methods specified in product specifications or other relevant plans, such as from projects, process validations, method validations, etc.

  • Lead, drive, and support deviations/exceptions (including laboratory investigations as needed), change control cases, improvement suggestions, CAPAs, risk management, supplier and audit-related activities, as well as document management and data integrity within the area of responsibility.

  • Participate as a QC representative in (cross-functional) projects and meetings.

  • Ensure that QC methods are validated according to the current QMS and standards.

  • Ensure that QC instruments/systems are calibrated, qualified, and/or validated according to the current QMS and standards.

  • Assist in and/or write and review validation protocols and reports as a QC expert.

  • Assist in and/or write and review qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and reports as a QC expert.

  • Assist in establishing and strategizing to manage and improve quality documentation within the area of responsibility, e.g., analytical methods, plans, and procedures.

  • Lead planning and execution of periodic reviews within the area of responsibility.

  • Support audits within the area of responsibility.

  • Introduce and/or mentor new QC employees or QC staff in new tasks/responsibilities.

Qualifications 👩🏻‍🎓👨🏽‍🎓

  • University degree in engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, or equivalent, preferably with a focus on analytical chemistry.

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in QC laboratory work within life science is required.

  • Documented experience with chromatographic techniques such as HPLC, GC, and/or ÄKTA is required.

  • Previous experience in QC work related to method and/or system validation/instrument qualification within life science is required.

  • Previous experience with multiple analytical methods and techniques is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or GMP is an advantage.

  • Statistical knowledge is an advantage.

  • Business-level English and very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
