We are looking for an engaged and curious Process Engineer for a consultancy assignment via Lernia in Uppsala. This position is ideal for you who want to work with process development, improvement work, and technical support in production and development environments, and thrive in an environment where both independent work and cross-functional collaboration are central.

The position is a consultancy assignment via Lernia. The assignment is full-time with the possibility of extension for the right person.

About the role

As a Process Engineer, you will work with the development, optimization, and documentation of production processes. You will participate in projects aimed at improving capacity, quality, and cost-efficiency, as well as reducing variation and waste. You will collaborate closely with production, quality, maintenance, and product development to ensure robust and scalable process solutions.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and improving existing processes using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma
  • Developing work instructions, process flows, and control documents
  • Conducting test runs, validations, and process changes in pilot and production environments
  • Planning and following up on process tests, as well as analyzing measurement data to identify improvement potential
  • Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure component selection and manufacturing methods
  • Supporting troubleshooting and deviation management, as well as initiating corrective actions
  • Participating in project planning, risk assessments, and continuous improvement work

About you

Formal qualifications

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, process technology, mechatronics, or industrial economics)
  • Several years of experience in process development, production technology, or similar roles
  • Proficiency in working with process steps, measurement methods, and statistical analysis
  • Experience in creating and updating work instructions, process documentation, and validation materials
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

  • Work with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies
  • Project work in production-related development projects or industrial environments
  • Work with automation, control systems, or embedded systems
  • Experience with quality standards and regulations within the relevant industry
  • PAS-X

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and problem-solving oriented. You work proactively, thrive in teams, and can communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You have a practical approach and the drive to lead improvement projects from idea to implementation.
