We are looking for an engaged and curious engineer for a consultancy assignment via Lernia in Uppsala. The position is a consultancy assignment via Lernia. The assignment is full-time with the possibility of extension for the right person.

About the Role

As an engineer in research and development, you will participate in the entire development cycle from idea and concept to prototype and testing. You will work closely with colleagues in design, production, and quality to ensure robust technical solutions that meet requirements for functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Development and validation of technical concepts and prototypes
• Design and construction using CAD and other engineering tools
• Planning and execution of tests, measurements, and verification activities
• Analysis of test data and development of improvement proposals
• Collaboration with suppliers and internal departments to ensure component selection and manufacturability
• Documentation of results, technical specifications, and work instructions
• Participation in project planning, risk assessments, and continuous improvement work

About You

Formal Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics)
• Several years of experience in product development, laboratory work, or equivalent R&D activities
• Proficiency in CAD programs and basic calculation and simulation tools
• Experience with test methodology, measuring instruments, and documentation of verification work
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

• Work in production-oriented development projects
• Work with ME systems, electronics, or embedded systems
• Project management or experience with agile working methods
• Experience with quality standards and regulations in the relevant industry
