About the Unit

FMLOG Supply procures, maintains, and decommissions supplies for the Swedish Armed Forces. Logistics must be efficient and ensure high availability for all types of supplies, which means that planning, transport, and customer support are important parts of our work.

The Armed Forces' Depot is part of FMLOG Supply and creates value for the Armed Forces by receiving and delivering materials on time, at the right cost, and with the right quality. Through knowledge of how materials should be received, stored, maintained, delivered, and decommissioned, we contribute to making the Armed Forces' operations possible. Our attitudes and working methods are characterized by mutual trust to deliver defense logistics when and where it is needed. The Depot operates nationwide and contains a wide range of FM materials, and we operate in several flows.

About the Position

As a tank technician, you will conduct inspections of fuel tanks and pipelines according to applicable laws and regulations. This includes everything from emptying and cleaning tanks to tightness testing and documentation. In close collaboration with other authorized personnel, you will carry out assigned tasks. You will become part of an experienced and dedicated team that believes it is important to have fun at work. The position involves freedom under responsibility, and you will have the opportunity to influence your own work. You will be based at Uppsala Garrison but will work throughout Sweden, which means recurring travel and overnight stays in other locations.

Qualifications

• High school education in industry, vehicle/workshop technology, or equivalent competence acquired in another way, as assessed by the employer as equivalent.
• You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• At least a B driver's license, manual transmission.
• Good health (Health checks for an approved fitness certificate are conducted continuously).

Meritorious

• CE driver's license.
• ADR Tank training.
• Good computer skills, primarily Microsoft Office.
• Forklift license.
• Experience working with fuel facilities and/or tanks.
• Experience driving tank trucks.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. Employment rate: Full-time. Place of employment: Uppsala. Start date by agreement.
