Property Manager Wanted
We are looking for a manager for Upplandsstiftelsen's property portfolio.
Do you want to work with property management of buildings in nature?
Upplandsstiftelsen cares for nature and promotes outdoor life in Uppsala County. In our work, nature conservation, outdoor life, and outdoor education come together. Through good collaborations, we work for biodiversity and public health.
We are about 20 employees in the office and are owned by the region and municipalities. We manage buildings in nature.
Most of our buildings are located in our two camping facilities and cottage village, but we also have various types of buildings and facilities in our natural areas. We are looking for someone who finds it exciting to be responsible for the property management of our buildings and properties. Our buildings are there for people who visit nature and should meet their various needs.
Your role:
As Upplandsstiftelsen's property manager, you will be responsible for managing our buildings and project managing maintenance and investments. You will also be responsible for long-term maintenance planning of our properties. You will plan, prepare decision-making documents, and budget for maintenance and renovation projects.
You will be responsible for the implementation of projects and act as project manager towards, for example, tenants and contractors. Your responsibilities include budgeting, planning, procurement, coordinating, and following up on projects. You will also work with planning and follow-up of statutory inspections such as fire and ventilation.
You will be responsible for Upplandsstiftelsen's building holdings and collaborate with other staff working on nature management, nature conservation, and outdoor life. The buildings are located in natural areas with significant natural values, which requires special consideration, and some buildings also have cultural historical values. You will also contribute your perspective to Upplandsstiftelsen's other activities, especially regarding our facilities in nature, such as birdwatching towers and windbreaks.
The work is based in the office and involves travel within the county.
Basic Requirements
We are looking for someone who has relevant education for the position or experience that we assess as equivalent, such as post-secondary education focused on property management and construction projects, or you have acquired similar knowledge through practical experience in the field. You also have:
• several years of experience in property management
• experience in budgeting, project management, and following up on planned maintenance and investments
• knowledge of laws, regulations, and other requirements related to property owner responsibilities
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• a valid driver's license (B)
Merits
• Experience working with older, simpler, and/or unusual properties or facilities in nature. Many of our buildings are located in protected areas, and some have significant cultural values.
• Experience in procurements governed by LOU, the Public Procurement Act
Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. We are looking for a person who is both curious, independent, solution-oriented, and good at collaborating. We see an interest in nature and outdoor life as a strength for succeeding in the role.
We offer:
A permanent position at 100% with a start date according to agreement, a 6-month probationary period applies. There is an opportunity to allocate parts of the working hours remotely.
Our office is located in the heart of Uppsala, directly adjacent to Uppsala travel center. Upplandsstiftelsen is affiliated with a collective agreement.
Application deadline: 2026-03-16. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
