The Education Administration is one of the six administrations in Mjölby Municipality, responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, adapted primary and secondary school, and adult education. With approximately 1000 employees, we provide education that promotes lifelong learning for all children and students, working towards the goal of "high academic results in a school where everyone can and wants to be." We place great importance on working closely with the operations through regular dialogue and support to school leaders and teachers based on the governance chain.

Väderstad School is a F-6 school with about 120 students. The school is located in the Väderstad community in the heart of the Östergötland countryside. Together at the school, we work on the principle that all children are everyone's children. All children should feel safe with us and meet each day with joy and curiosity. We work to ensure that all students receive the support they need to learn and develop as far as possible based on their circumstances.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of teaching assistant involves working as a support person for students throughout the school day, both in teaching, between lessons (e.g., during breaks, in the cafeteria), and in after-school care.

You collaborate with the school's various professionals to support and stimulate the student's learning and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a high school education as a childcare worker or vocational training as a teaching assistant. Experience in a similar role is an advantage.

You have a good ability to work with other people, to listen, be empathetic, and respectful. You are also unpretentious and acknowledge and reward others' contributions. In your role, you have a good ability to create and maintain relationships and collaborate well with people in different roles and contexts.

You have the ability to adapt to changing conditions and encourage and support change initiatives.

You are confident and able to perform in a pressured environment and handle difficult situations. You remain optimistic in the face of challenges and have the ability to respond constructively to feedback.

Temporary employment with the possibility of extension.
