The operations at Nyhem School for grades seven to nine are characterized by safety, learning, enjoyment, and joy of work, with the student at the center. We are therefore working purposefully to create trust and confidence between students and staff. This provides the conditions for students to feel secure, have hope for the future, and develop their knowledge.
Nyhem School is a K-9 school that also includes adapted primary education. The school is located close to both the city center and nature.
Approximately 550 students attend from preschool to grade 9, and there are 2 after-school care departments with about 100 children enrolled. With us, students will get the best start for lifelong learning! The operations at Nyhem School are characterized by learning, joy of work, safety, and enjoyment. The students and their learning are our focus, and we believe that everyone can and wants to develop.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our team and we offer you one of the most important and enjoyable assignments available, as the responsible teacher in the special education group at the upper secondary level. Your Future Responsibilities
Nyhem School is looking for a driven, engaged, and structured leader and teacher responsible for our special education group. In this role, you will have the main responsibility for planning, coordinating, and leading the work with teaching and methods, based on research and proven experience. The role also includes teaching and actively participating in the school's student health work.
Your focus will be to create a clear plan and a working method that meets our students' unique needs, while considering the school's conditions and values. As the head of the school's special education group, you are expected to lead and inspire your colleagues, as well as motivate the team to ensure high quality in teaching.
In addition to leading the special education group, you will also be part of the student health team and one of the grade work teams.
Together with the school's student health team and teachers, you will work on tasks such as educational investigations, action programs, analyses at the organizational, group, and individual levels, staff guidance, work in student groups in need of special support, and being a driving force in the development of adapted teaching.
Who Are You?
You need to enjoy taking on significant responsibility and creating and maintaining relationships with both staff and students, as well as guardians. You are clear in your communication and have good collaborative skills, contributing to creating engagement in the group.
You are good at organizing, keeping to timelines, and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and current research in the special education field. As a person, you are stable and structured.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Is a certified teacher
- Has good collaborative skills and can work in a structured manner based on established plans
- Has experience leading and inspiring colleagues
- Is driven and can develop working methods and teaching to meet students' various needs
Experience working in a special education group is an advantage.
