We are now looking for a preschool teacher who wants to be part of our team and work to drive development forward with the current placement at Sparvsångsvägen in Linghem, part of Åkerbo 1 preschools. Your Responsibilities

Your starting point as a preschool teacher is to have the overall pedagogical responsibility in the preschool. You are expected to lead and distribute the pedagogical work in the team while contributing to creating collegial learning. The team will work together to plan, teach, document, and evaluate the content of the activities based on the preschool curriculum and other governing documents. We place great importance on our joint development work around equity in the entire area. For us, this means that all children have the same opportunities, but also that you as an educator have the space to become your best self in a team where your specific competencies and personality come into play.

As a preschool teacher, you promote each child's development and learning based on their interests, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments. In your role, there is close collaboration with colleagues and guardians as well as potential contacts with other actors regarding the child.

Your Workplace

Åkerbo 1 preschools consist of four preschools led by a principal and two assistant principals. We have three preschools in Linghem and one in Vårdsberg. You can easily and conveniently reach Linghem by Östgötapendeln, as the train station is within comfortable distance from our operations. The preschools vary in size, from one department to five departments: that is, between 23 and 90 children. Assistant principals are close to the operations to coach but also to drive development work together with the staff.

Our education and teaching are based on the Preschool Curriculum and are specified in our development plan. The entire area is permeated by active work for an equitable preschool, where we share experiences and develop together. The area works based on a result goal that this year concerns children developing strategies for increased conceptual understanding. Based on the goal, each child should have the opportunity to encounter concept-rich environments with aware adults and participate in more activities aimed at developing strategies for increased conceptual understanding.

As a preschool teacher, you plan and implement teaching based on your competence together with colleagues. We have two preschool teachers in the older children's departments and one preschool teacher in the younger children's departments. Every child in our preschools should be in a preschool environment that is fun, safe, and educational.

We are now looking for a preschool teacher who wants to be part of our team and work to drive development forward in the preschool. The current placement of the position is at Sparvsångsvägen 100, which is located in Linghem and has four departments, divided into younger and older children. There is a reception kitchen and a kitchen assistant.

Who You Are

First and foremost, we are looking for someone with a preschool teacher certification. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a diploma from a preschool teacher education program. Alternatively, you may be in the final stages of your preschool teacher education.

It is a requirement that you have experience working with children in a curriculum-driven preschool through practice, as an employee, or voluntarily. It is advantageous if you have worked for at least one year in a curriculum-driven preschool where you have worked with planning and teaching based on the curriculum.

You have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lpfö18), you should organize and implement the work so that the child receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each child can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

In your role as a preschool teacher, you create good relationships and collaborate well with children, colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role. You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to them in a responsive manner in teaching and the everyday life of the preschool. You lead the work with both children and colleagues through motivation, engagement, and participation. The role also means that you, together with your colleagues, will work with applicable goals and quality standards for the preschool.
