Your responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work according to the curriculum. The work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher in grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others present in the school to achieve a higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

This position involves teaching in grades 7-9 and mentorship. You will be part of a strong collegial context where we work in both subject teams and work teams. In the subject team for modern languages, you will receive support from three experienced colleagues, and in your role as a mentor for grade 7, you will share the responsibility with a colleague. The position is a temporary position from 2026-05-11 to 2027-06-18.

Your workplace

Tokarpsskolan is located in Malmslätt and is a school for grades 7-9 with about 360 students and 45 employees. Here you will be part of a workplace with good cohesion that drives the school's development forward together. We care about each other, collaborate, and help each other. We have a lot of scheduled co-planning, for example, you meet the subject team for the grade you teach every week and all grade subject teams every other week. Right now, we are working intensively on school development, including routines and structures as well as effective teaching.

You who are applying

We are primarily looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications to teach German and Swedish in grades 7-9. Secondly, we are looking for someone with completed teacher education with qualifications to teach German and Swedish in grades 7-9. Alternatively, you are at the end of your teacher education with qualifications to teach German and Swedish in grades 7-9.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through internships or as an employee. It is an advantage if you have taught in grades 7-9 for at least one school year. It is also advantageous if you have experience in grading or documenting students' learning during the school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 7-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role.
