Who are we?

Villastadsskolan is a F-6 school with currently about 140 students, one class per grade. The school is located in Kneippen, a quiet and well-functioning district in Norrköping, mostly consisting of villas.

The school was built in 1929 and has a large and exciting schoolyard that invites play. In the building, teaching is conducted for grades F-2 and leisure activities for grades F-1. Some of the teaching for grades 3-6 and leisure activities for grades 2-6 takes place in a pavilion with spacious, modern facilities.

The proximity to nature and water provides great opportunities to conduct teaching outside the classrooms. For example, we have our own school forest, which takes about 30 minutes to walk to. Within walking distance, we also have both Stadium Arena, the ice rink, and the city library, which we often take advantage of.

Our goal is for all students to progress as far as possible based on their individual circumstances. We work with high expectations of the students, both academically and in terms of responsibility, of course with appropriate goals based on age.

In recent years, the educators have trained in cooperative learning, which has developed student activity in lessons.

Currently, there are eight licensed leisure teachers at the school, one of whom will be moving on to other assignments within the municipality.

Your tasks

Before and after the school day, you will work at the leisure center. You will belong to a work team where you, together with other leisure teachers, are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the leisure activities.

During the school day, you will work together with one or two teachers and be assigned to one or two grade levels.

You will be involved in the students' development both before, during, and after the school day.

The position includes teaching physical education and health for grades 1-3.

Together with your colleagues, you will co-plan the annual cycle for teaching physical education and health.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed leisure teacher with qualifications in physical education and health.

You have experience developing and being responsible for a leisure center, and we would like you to have experience in educational work.

You have good knowledge and experience working with students with NPF. Knowledge of how to work with students who have a speech impairment is also an advantage.

We also view positively if you have experience working preventively and promoting students' safety and that you are confident in reacting and acting if conflicts arise between students.

You are a clear leader in the student group, flexible, and have a positive view of students.

As a person, you have drive and share our goal that all students should progress as far as possible based on their circumstances.

You have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the curriculum goals into your work.

As a person, you are committed, attentive, and skilled at creating good relationships with both students and guardians.

You appreciate working in a team where you contribute your knowledge, experience, and solution-focused approach to create meaningful leisure activities for our students, as well as complement the primary school's curriculum in a joyful way during leisure activities.

To succeed in this role, we want you to be able to speak, write, and read Swedish fluently.
