Who are we?

Ebersteinska Gymnasium is a municipal upper secondary school with approximately 600 students and 60 staff members. We offer education in the economics program, sales and service program, natural sciences program, social sciences program, technology program, health and social care program, and introductory program.

The school is organized into four units with three principals and nine working teams that, together with the school management, drive school development. We work in suitable and pleasant premises where engagement, quality, and development are our common guiding principles.

We are now looking for a teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a second language for a temporary position with us.

The temporary position starts as soon as possible by agreement and lasts until June 18.

Your responsibilities

• You will teach Swedish and Swedish as a second language in the introductory program and in our national programs.
• You will be part of a working team where mentorship for a group of students is part of the assignment, which you share with a mentor colleague.
• In the working team, you are an important part of the joint effort to ensure that all students succeed.
• You collaborate with colleagues, student health, and school management to create a safe, inclusive, and developing learning environment.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is qualified and certified as a secondary school teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a second language, preferably with experience teaching at the upper secondary level.

You are an engaged and relationship-building educator who enjoys both independent work and collaboration.

You have good pedagogical insight and understanding of how students absorb knowledge and plan teaching based on their conditions.

You are structured, clear, and flexible, and have the ability to adapt teaching and communication to the audience.

You thrive in an environment where daily changes may occur and work purposefully and solution-focused.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and that you are well acquainted with the school's governing documents.
