Substitute Teacher in After School Care

Are you passionate about children's learning, safety, and creativity? Then you could be our new substitute teacher in after school care!

Who are we?

Kimstad is a small community located between Norrköping and Linköping. Here lies Grebyskolan, a primary school (grades F-3) with 176 students and age-homogeneous classes. The school's activities are organized into different teams, one for each grade - Vindbryggan, Porten, Tornet, and Borgen.

The knight has a strong connection to Kimstad as a locality, and we have therefore chosen to adopt some of the old requirements placed on a knight as a model for our work with safety, learning, and personal development in school.

In grades F-3, our work to create safety is based on following the ideals of knighthood, always striving to develop empathy, self-esteem, responsibility, and cooperation. These ideals run like a common thread through all our work and teaching, from grade 1 at Grebyskolan to grade 6 at Kimstadskolan.

We are now looking for a substitute teacher in after school care at Grebyskolan!

Your responsibilities

You will work according to the national curriculum, supporting students in their learning and also providing support in their development of social skills. You will primarily work in after school care, support in class during school hours, and may also be responsible for a subject based on your qualifications.

We encourage outdoor activities where you participate, such as games, sports, dance, and music. Our students visit our school forest once a week where we have the opportunity to cook, teach, play, etc.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed teacher in after school care with qualifications for grades F-3 and music. We prefer that you have previous experience in educational work.

You are creative, easily build relationships with students and colleagues, and have a strong commitment to the entire school's operations. You have a clear understanding of the curriculum for after school care and a solid interest in pedagogy and pedagogical development.

You are confident in your leadership, with a good ability to create a positive working and development climate. You are attentive to students' different needs and conditions and set boundaries when necessary. You show commitment and perseverance even when challenges arise in everyday life.

You communicate information clearly and confidently, adapting your language to the audience and ensuring that everyone understands. In this way, you build trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues.

You enjoy collaborating and are happy to share your ideas. You have an eye for seeing what interventions are needed in the moment and take initiative.

Since we work with children in a dynamic environment, you remain flexible to changing circumstances that may arise during a workday.

The position requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Welcome with your application!
