Maria Park School is the largest primary school in Helsingborg City, located in northern Helsingborg. Approximately 900 students attend the school, of which about 400 participate in after-school activities. The school is beautifully situated in Maria Park and in a newly built area in Mariastaden. The area offers proximity to Pålsjöskog, the beach, the sea, and the city's pulse. Our activities encompass grades F-9, after-school care, and adapted primary school.

Job Responsibilities

Are you a driven physical education teacher? Take the opportunity during this temporary position to become part of the wonderful community at Maria Park School in a fun and developing assignment! In the upcoming school year, the position will focus on teaching at the high school level and also in our special education group. The grades you will teach may change to other or all grades within F-9, as well as to Maria Park School's adapted primary school.

You will be part of our teaching teams that work together on students' development and learning. You will be offered a varied job where you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in physical education and health. You will collaborate with other educators, guardians, student health services, and school management to create a context that benefits students' learning. As an educator, you will have great opportunities to develop in your professional role within your teaching team and together with the other music teacher at the school.

You are a certified teacher and qualified to teach physical education. Your role as a teacher is to work together with others in the team to create the best conditions for every student to succeed in their learning. It is essential that you can encourage and engage both students and colleagues to make learning at the school as positive as possible. You have an easy time building relationships and have a professional approach towards both students, guardians, and colleagues.

A clear leadership that inspires creativity and curiosity is one of your most important tasks. You see the benefit of collaborating with other professional categories to create the best learning environment. Good collaboration skills, flexibility, and pedagogical innovation are therefore a requirement. You also need to be comfortable making decisions independently when necessary. You have a solid scientific foundation to stand on in shaping the activities.

We place great importance on personal suitability. It is an advantage to have qualifications or experience working as a special education teacher focused on adapted primary school.
