The organization consists of four operational areas with nine open youth activities, Fritidsbanken Borås, FUZED Borås, a summer activity, and collaboration with associations. Open Youth Activities also conducts active international work with youth exchanges and European volunteers. As an operational coordinator for Open Youth Activities, you will receive a meaningful assignment with a wide variety of tasks. You will work with administrative tasks in close collaboration with your immediate supervisor and be an important part of the operational work within the area. To support your work, you have experienced colleagues, and you are part of a working group with other operational coordinators and networks relevant to your assignment. Your position is linked to one of the four operational areas. |
As an operational coordinator, you provide support to the unit manager and the management team in steering and developing the organization. You coordinate and follow up on work both operationally and strategically, focusing on operational planning. You are part of a working group with other operational coordinators within open youth activities. Together with the group, you plan to implement overarching processes, for example, coordinating summer activities. You have good and documented experience in development work where you have previously worked with both follow-up and analysis of change processes. You and your colleagues create participation, dialogue, and influence together with visitors and citizens in the area. You initiate, drive, and complete processes for cross-sector collaboration that creates added value for young citizens. In many respects, you will guide and coach staff within various planned interventions in the operational area. |
Applicants should have a university degree in public health, project management, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You have documented experience in youth activities, as well as experience and knowledge of co-creation methods for youth influence and participation. To succeed in the role of operational coordinator within Open Youth Activities, you have a strong commitment to children's rights and the personal and social development of youth. You can oversee your own areas of responsibility and understand the common organizational goals, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You have the ability to lead processes, guide, and coach to achieve set goals. You can communicate information and ideas in a way that is easy to understand, both verbally and in writing. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation, and contribute with enthusiasm and energy that promotes collaboration and motivation. It is an advantage if you have experience in applying for project funding, non-formal learning, marketing/communication, and a driver's license. Working hours are primarily during the day, but evenings and weekends may occur. The position is a temporary contract for 10 months with the possibility of extension. Desired start date is April 1 or by agreement. |
