Orust Parish is looking for an Administrator for the Cemetery Administration (100 %)

We are looking for someone who finds the right form when others are searching in the wrong folder, keeps track of invoices without losing their temper – and who knows that care also lies in the details.

About the Church of Sweden in Orust

Orust is the largest island on the west coast, located about 60 kilometers north of Gothenburg. We are a parish with seven congregations, 12 churches, and 13 cemeteries.

About 50 employees work with parish services, caretaking, administration, and cemetery management.

About the position

As an administrator at Orust Parish, you will primarily work with matters related to the cemeteries and funeral operations. The role is varied and means that you contribute to ensuring that the administrative everyday life runs smoothly.

Examples of tasks:

  • invoicing
  • registration and handling of forms
  • preparation of administrative materials for the operations
  • support to the reception
  • contact with visitors and relatives with questions about cemeteries and burial rights
  • handling of the telephone exchange
  • some administrative support to the HR manager

The tasks follow the annual cycle of the operations and may vary throughout the year. You will work closely with colleagues and contribute where your administrative support is needed.

Your workplace is at the parish office in Tegneby.

Who are you?

  • You are open, social, empathetic, and helpful, with a strong interest in administration and structure.
  • You are responsible, reliable, and have good administrative skills.
  • You are cooperative and solution-oriented.
  • You have relevant education and/or experience for the position.
  • Experience with Aveny Grav or booking systems is an advantage.
  • You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • You have a B driver's license and are (or will become) a member of the Church of Sweden.
