The Finance Unit works with development and strategic issues within the financial area and is responsible for financial management, planning, follow-up, and analysis.

The unit is also responsible for ensuring the financial results. We ensure that financial processes are legally secure and of high quality, and contribute to the wise use of public funds.

You will be part of the Finance Unit – a positive, pleasant, and unpretentious team. The unit consists of 12 financial controllers and 5 accounting economists. Together, we support and guide managers in ongoing financial work with a proactive and coaching approach.

As a financial controller, you will be involved in budget work, monthly follow-up, year-end closing work, and the development of key figures. You will also participate in presentations of goals and results and contribute to the internal quality work of the Finance Unit. The role involves analyzing the relationship between figures and operations and participating in development efforts based on the conditions of the operations.

We are looking for someone who wants to work closely with the operations and appreciates collaborating with both colleagues and managers. You are driven, take initiative, and have a proactive approach. Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics (180 credits) or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. We would like you to have experience in operational financial support, preferably in the role of financial controller – ideally within the public sector. Experience in similar tasks within municipal operations, specifically focused on care and support, is therefore highly meritorious. To succeed well in your role, you need to have very good computer skills, particularly in financial systems and Excel. It is advantageous if you have previous experience with operational systems, preferably Unit4 Agresso, Nekksus/Hypergene, Proceedo, Personec.

In the role of financial controller, you need to be structured and pedagogical, with an ease in creating and developing good relationships with both colleagues and managers. We are looking for someone who is driven and analytical, a clear team player with a good overall perspective.

You can effectively identify and analyze the core of a problem and suggest possible solutions. You have the ability to see connections and can draw logical conclusions from limited and/or complex information.

You can oversee your own area of responsibility and place the significance of your own operations in a larger context.

You care that your work is performed correctly and thoroughly while not leaving anything to chance. You have the ability to focus on details. You check and follow up your work to ensure that it maintains a high quality.

You act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment.
