Business Developer – focusing on student health and learning for the Department of Children and Education

Do you want to help develop school student health and learning at the municipal level? We are looking for a business developer who wants to drive strategic and long-term development work throughout the municipality. With us, you will have the opportunity to translate analysis into action and contribute to a student health system that is both preventive, promoting, and close to operations. Your role contributes to strengthening learning processes and pedagogical development in schools.

The overarching mission of student health is to support and develop schools' work with positive salutogenic learning environments where all students have the conditions to achieve goals and feel good. As a business developer, you will work closely with the operations manager, principal, and staff from student health to drive development work focusing on student health and teaching. You will work at a system level, which means you will influence the entire organization – frameworks, guidelines, processes, and strategies. You will lead and coordinate professionals within student health and support school leaders and student health in translating governance and analysis into practice. You will serve as a link between research, governing documents, and the daily life of schools.

In a smaller municipality, the role becomes both strategic and versatile, with the opportunity to shape development in several areas and see concrete results of the work in schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• plan, drive, and follow up on development projects related to student health and learning
• educate, support, and guide school leaders, student health staff, and teachers in development processes
• collaborate on health-promoting issues with other departments and, if necessary, external actors
• lead the implementation of national reforms, investigations, and local development initiatives
• lead and coordinate student health professionals and provide support for local student health teams
• support principals and key personnel in translating strategies and analyses into practice.
• develop analyses and decision-making materials for management and political committees regarding student health initiatives based on current research and statistics related to the municipality's overall results
• project and team leadership may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who

• has a pedagogical or other relevant higher education, e.g., social work degree
• has good experience leading development work within primary school and student health and is passionate about developing learning.
• has good knowledge of laws and governing documents that govern student health work
• is innovative and willing to challenge established patterns
• is analytical, structured, and communicative and wants to work strategically and operationally to create sustainable development in schools
• thrives in a small organization where the role is versatile and the opportunity to influence is great
• has experience in process leadership

It is an advantage if

• you have experience implementing investigations, development work, or national reforms
• you have experience working at the municipal level
• if you have experience with the student journal system Prorenata
