We are looking for a Land and Development Engineer who wants to join a team with a strong interest in developing Vårgårda Municipality, which is growing! Vårgårda is located in the expansive Västra Götaland region and is currently growing through several large new housing projects, new establishments, and has a strong business development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a Land and Development Engineer means that you will influence the development of the locality and contribute to turning vision into reality. The role is perfect for you who want to be part of our collective effort to contribute daily to making Vårgårda a small town. You will be welcomed into a cheerful and collaborative team where we work together across boundaries.

Your main job responsibilities will include:

• Purchase and sale of land as well as management and allocation of municipal land, including the establishment of land allocation agreements, purchase agreements, development agreements, and other types of lease and other allocation agreements.
• Be responsible for independently processing and driving the municipality's development projects by participating from the early stages of planning work and all the way through to the more practical aspects of implementation.
• Represent the municipality at land survey proceedings and represent the municipality as a landowner.
• Work broadly with development issues and take responsibility for the complexity of larger projects where time, economy, and quality are decisive to ensure the delivery of the right product in the right place at the right time.
• Contacts with landowners, developers, authorities, and residents.
• Preparation of service documents and preparation for political bodies.

QUALIFICATIONS

We believe you are a person who thrives in complex contexts where no day is the same as the other. You are engaged and social, easily collaborate with others, and at the same time have the ability to work independently and take your own initiative. With good planning skills, a structured approach, and clear communication in speech and writing, you handle complex processes within given time frames. You have a professional and service-oriented attitude and see negotiation and collaboration as a natural part of the assignment.

We are looking for you with:

• Relevant higher education, for example in community building, surveying, law, property law, or property economics, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Good administrative skills and computer proficiency.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Driving license B.
