Corporate Lawyer at Nordic Training Group

Do you want to help shape the legal frameworks for a growing educational group? Nordic Training Group is looking for a business-oriented and strategic Corporate Lawyer who wants to contribute to creating security, compliance, and business progress in a rapidly developing organization.

During the previous recruitment process, our needs have been clarified and developed. Therefore, we are now looking for a lawyer with a clearer focus on business law, compliance, and legal security in an operation that works closely with the public sector and where parts of the assignment involve public authority.

About the role

As a Corporate Lawyer at Nordic Training Group, you will have overall responsibility for legal matters within the group, with a particular focus on business law, data protection, compliance, and legal support to the operations in contract and risk issues.

The role involves a broad assignment, where you are expected to be a qualified support to management, HR, IT, procurement, and operational managers. You will work both strategically and operationally to ensure that our operations, processes, and contracts comply with applicable legislation while supporting the business with pragmatic and solution-oriented advice.

You will report to the Marketing and Business Development Manager and play a central role in the work of further developing the group's legal structure and internal governance.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the group's GDPR work, including policies, record management, training, and ongoing advice.
  • Responsible for the group's legal support in business law and contract law.
  • Draft, review, and further develop contract templates for suppliers, customers, and partners together with relevant functions.
  • Conduct legal risk assessments of customer, supplier, and collaboration agreements.
  • Provide advice on contract issues related to publicly procured contracts and operations close to the public sector.
  • Handle issues related to intellectual property, trademarks, and copyright.
  • Contribute to ensuring legally secure processes in the parts of the business that involve public authority, including assessment, documentation, and decision-making.
  • Provide legal support in matters concerning internal governance, policy frameworks, and compliance.
  • Provide support in real estate law and labor law matters as needed.
  • Be the contact person for the whistleblower function and ensure compliance with legislation and internal procedures.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Law degree or other relevant legal education.
  • Several years of experience as a corporate lawyer, in-house counsel, or from a law firm.
  • Good knowledge and experience in business law and contract law.
  • Good knowledge and experience in data protection, GDPR, and compliance.
  • Experience in making legal assessments in operational matters and translating law into practical support in the organization.
  • Good ability to communicate legal matters in a business-like, clear, and pedagogical manner.
  • High integrity, good judgment, and experience working independently.

It is a merit if you also have:

  • Experience in public procurement or legal issues related to publicly funded assignments.
  • Experience in public authority or work in operations where requirements for legal security are central.
  • Experience from the education sector or other regulated activities.
  • Experience in real estate law and/or labor law.

Why Nordic Training Group?

We offer a central role in a forward-looking and value-driven organization characterized by innovation, responsibility, and sustainability. Here you will have the opportunity to build and develop the company's legal function as the business grows and our needs become increasingly business-critical and complex.
