The primary school within the learning sector is facing several extensive changes to its facilities in the coming years. Several investments in educational environments are planned and implemented. A new primary school, Björkås F-6 with an integrated adapted school, is being built. Ulrikaskolan is being converted into a 7-9 school, and Stenbockskolan is planned for upcoming renovations and expansions. In addition, extensive investments in overdue maintenance and energy efficiency are being carried out.

At the same time, the support services for primary schools have been rapidly expanded. Initiatives such as emergency school, school social team, municipal special education groups (KSU), HVB, and functions related to children's and youth's health have been established to strengthen support for students in need of assistance.

This development has led to a more complex organization where responsibilities and tasks are now distributed across several functions. To create a more cohesive governance structure and increase efficiency, there is now a need for a coordinating role with overarching responsibility. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a coordinator, you play a key role in coordinating and developing the primary school's work in the designated areas.

Coordination of Educational Facilities and Construction Projects

You support the primary school's management in planning and implementing construction and transition projects. This means that you:

• Coordinate issues related to the school's properties and facilities
• Participate in planning, design, and follow-up of new and renovation projects
• Ensure that processes, routines, and decisions are followed in larger projects
• Provide support to principals and operations during facility changes

Development of Support Services

You are responsible for coordinating and further developing the municipality's support initiatives within primary schools, such as:

• Emergency school
• School social team
• Municipal special education groups
• Initiatives for children placed in foster homes and HVB
• Collaboration regarding children's and youth's health: cooperation with coordinators

The goal is to create a cohesive structure that strengthens schools' ability to meet all students' needs. You work on behalf of the head of primary school and have close cooperation with principals and other key functions. The role also includes:

• Preparing decision-making materials and contributing expertise
• Driving, anchoring, and following up on decided processes
• Collaborating with various professionals within and outside the organization

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree and several years of experience in leading and developing school operations. You have a solid knowledge of the Education Act, curricula, and other governing documents, and a good understanding of how these are implemented in practice in a complex organization. Experience from primary school and adapted school will be particularly meritorious. Furthermore, you have experience in personnel, operations, and budget responsibility, which gives you a holistic view of governance and management. A B driver's license is a requirement.

To succeed in this role, you are strategic and solution-oriented, with the ability to see the big picture while managing complex issues in a structured and methodical way. You have excellent collaboration skills and thrive in a role where you collaborate with various professionals and levels within the organization.

You work independently, are structured in your approach, and have a well-developed ability to prioritize between different tasks. You are a clear and confident communicator with a very good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. You also easily adapt your message to the target audience and context. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
