Conscription Officer at Regiment Staff K 3

Regiment Staff

The Regiment Staff K 3 consists of approximately 40 employees, half of whom are career officers and half have civilian employment. The staff supports the regiment commander and other commanders on the regiment with coordination and follow-up, as well as providing expert support in a number of different competence areas. The staff, led by the Chief of Staff, is organized into nine sections, where you as a Conscription Officer belong to G1, the HR section. At the HR section/G1, generalists and specialists work to support the regiment within strategic and operational HR services. The section is led by the HR Chief/C G1 and the Acting HR Chief.

Main Duties

As a Conscription Officer, you are the legal expert at your unit regarding the application of laws and regulations concerning those subject to total defense obligations. You provide support to commanders at various levels within the unit on issues concerning the rights and obligations of those subject to total defense obligations. As a Conscription Officer, you contribute to the unit meeting the requirements that the conscription legislation places on basic and refresher training units in an administrative manner.

Main Duties:

  • Coordinate, support, and develop the unit's work concerning the rights and obligations of those subject to total defense obligations
  • Handle, administer, and propose cases, e.g., interruptions from basic or refresher training, changed registration, and refusal
  • Participate in and administer the unit's ordering of conscript personnel for basic training and refresher training
  • Support the unit with deployment reporting and wartime placement after completed training
  • Collaborate with other relevant roles within the unit and the authority, as well as the Conscription and Examination Agency
  • Other tasks within the framework of the section's assignment

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • University education or several years of work experience in a relevant area deemed suitable by the employer
  • Current and relevant experience of administration, public authority exercise, and case handling within a state authority/public sector.
  • Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Good knowledge of the Office package
  • B driving license (manual transmission)

Personal Qualities

The role implies a high degree of independence, integrity, and critical thinking where you take responsibility for your learning and complete assigned tasks or tasks you have identified yourself. You collaborate with internal and external partners, which requires good teamwork skills and being a team player. You ensure that conscription cases are handled correctly according to the compilation of statutes, the Administrative Procedure Act, and current guidelines. You have the ability to communicate and convey the meaning and consequences for the individual as well as decision-makers.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and powerful units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion. The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that must be able to be first on the scene during an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
