We in operations and maintenance are responsible for supervision, repair, and operation of the areas of land, buildings, and installations over time with good technical status and satisfied customers.
This is achieved through close cooperation with customers, other departments of the administration, and other organizations in the city. The department is responsible for carrying out inspections required by authorities and contributes to the development of energy-saving measures. We perform the assignments requested by our customers.
In the area of energy and indoor environment, we are responsible for the indoor environment in our properties. We want to make these properties as energy-efficient as possible. We have gathered expertise in the unit, and here property technicians, operations technicians, and engineers in control, regulation monitoring, and HVAC work together to find smart solutions in operations. Energy monitoring of new properties and monitoring of our solar energy production is a very important part along with a well-functioning control system. This enables quick and effective optimization of heating and ventilation systems in our properties and provides us with reduced energy consumption, a good working environment, and better economy. The City Property Management currently has about 900 connected properties and many different brands of control, regulation, and monitoring equipment.
Job Responsibilities
As an energy engineer, you will have several areas of responsibility. These include:
- developing our energy monitoring in new properties and following up on our solar energy production.
- ensuring that energy goals are met in new constructions, i.e., monitoring, investigation, and measures.
- developing our work with balancing heating systems in our properties as periodic maintenance.
You will also lead a project to connect electricity, water, and energy meters in our properties; both existing meters and those where we need to supplement.
To be successful in your role, you will follow industry developments regarding standards and system choices, as you are responsible for driving and leading the further development of the aforementioned areas. In your daily work, you will have close contact with technical coordinators, operations optimizers, control engineers, and technicians.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a university engineer in energy, control, and regulation technology or has equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have experience in energy analysis and have worked with property automation as well as good knowledge of ventilation and plumbing. We prefer that you have worked as an energy engineer or project manager/system developer and have independently driven your own projects in the field. Experience with DHC and SCADA systems such as Citect, EBO, and Web Port is an advantage.
As an employee in the service department, you work for the benefit of the administration and the end customer from a holistic perspective. To be successful as an energy engineer, you need to be analytical, with the ability to draw logical conclusions from complex information. You find it easy to collaborate and build relationships while feeling a personal responsibility for your tasks. It is natural for you to plan and structure your work effectively. A B driver's license and good computer skills are required for this position.
Please note that this is a temporary position for 10 months, starting in May.
