About the position

We at Perido are looking for a production engineer on behalf of our client, a well-known company in the automotive industry. You will be based at the office located in Skövde.

Your responsibilities

As a production engineer, you will be a key person in the team working on reconfiguring and adapting engines for marine applications and generator sets. You will drive and develop production processes, ensure quality and availability, and contribute to creating efficient and sustainable flows. You will work closely with production, design, quality, logistics, and after-sales – always with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Your main tasks

• Develop and optimize assembly processes for engine conversion
• Drive improvement projects within LEAN, digitalization, and automation
• Ensure product and process quality through analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
• Support production with technical issues and deviations
• Be responsible for layout, process technical instructions, and standardized working methods
• Participate in the industrialization of new variants and technical changes
• Coordinate technical issues between internal and external stakeholders

Your qualities

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree in mechanical, production, mechatronics, or equivalent experience
• Experience in production, assembly, or process technology – preferably within the engine or driveline industry
• Good ability to analyze data and drive structured improvement activities
• Communicative, proactive, and good at collaborating

Meritorious:

• Knowledge in LEAN, CAD, electrical/automation, or marine operations is a plus

Scope and start date

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2026-09-30. Immediate start.
