The environmental and community building sector consists of two units; the environmental and building unit and the planning and development unit. In the planning and development unit, we are a driven team of about 30 employees who work with detailed and comprehensive planning, GIS, mapping and measurement assignments, street and traffic planning, as well as land and development issues.

As a planning architect, you will be part of a team of six planning architects working with detailed planning. In your role as a planning architect, you will contribute to urban development and shape tomorrow's Ulricehamn. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of planning architect, you will work on developing detailed plans, associated documents, investigations, and other strategic documents related to physical planning. The working group for detailed plans includes people from several professional roles, and you will have close cooperation with many both inside and outside the sector. You will plan your own workday and drive your cases both independently and in collaboration with other colleagues. You are expected to participate in the work of developing working methods and routines and take responsibility for your areas of work. The goal of the operations is to produce detailed plans and planning programs within set time frames and based on municipal goals and programs. The role includes meeting politicians, developers, the public, and authorities to create a good overall picture in your assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in community building, such as physical planning, urban planning, cultural geography, landscape architecture, or equivalent education or experience to effectively handle the profession.

For the position, you need knowledge of the planning process, the Planning and Building Act, and the Environmental Code, as well as the ability to understand its application. You also need good knowledge of digital software, with experience in Geosecma for ArcGIS and knowledge of Adobe programs being meritorious. You should also be able to use the Office suite.

As a planning architect, you need to have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and have a service-oriented approach. Contact with people is facilitated by a pleasant demeanor while you must also be confident in setting clear demands when warranted. As a person, you are driven, solution-oriented, and structured in setting and adhering to deadlines, but you must also be humble and flexible in your working methods. Maintaining high quality is important to you. You need to have a good ability to work independently but also find it easy to collaborate as you will be part of a smaller work group. You have a strong quality and customer focus throughout the work process. You have a problem-solving approach to your work and to various situations that arise. The tasks require sensitivity to the interests of different groups while they must be handled from a holistic perspective. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
