Description

Do you want to help shape the future playgrounds and activity areas in the city?

Now you have the opportunity to take a strategic and long-term role in the development of the city's playgrounds – places that create joy, movement, and meetings for children and families every day.

You will work on analyzing, developing, and enhancing access to attractive and accessible playgrounds based on function, usage, and geographical conditions.

In this role, you will combine analysis, strategy, and concrete development work. You will contribute to creating clear goals and current situation pictures and develop supporting and governing documents that set the direction for the city's continued work.

This is a position for you who want real influence over how the city's public environments are planned and developed.

Responsibilities

The administration has received an important mission: to ensure good and equal access to attractive and accessible playgrounds for the city's residents. In this work, you will be a key person.

You will:

  • Conduct geographical analyses of the city's playgrounds in close collaboration with our GIS unit
  • Develop a clear current situation picture and identify development needs in the short and long term
  • Translate and implement guidelines into practical analyses and action proposals
  • Contribute to planning that enhances both attractiveness and accessibility
  • Collaborate closely with planning leaders for activity areas and geographical park managers. The role involves both strategic development work and more operational tasks, such as inventories and planning of maintenance measures for individual playgrounds. This gives you the opportunity to follow the work from analysis to concrete improvement in the urban environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A master's degree in landscape architecture, cultural geography, or other education/experience deemed equivalent.
  • Knowledge of working in QGIS or another equivalent GIS desktop environment, gained through education or work experience, and the ability to work with geographical information in a structured and methodical way.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience in managing green spaces or other municipal operations
  • Experience in strategic development work
  • Understanding of how public environments are planned and developed
  • Good administrative skills, works in a structured manner, and is comfortable using digital tools and IT systems.
  • A driver's license is an advantage.

Conditions

Do you want to contribute to a more equal, accessible, and attractive city for children and young people? Then we look forward to your application.
