Manpower is seeking a laboratory technician for a long-term consulting assignment with our client ExxonMobil in Uddevalla. The assignment starts immediately and initially lasts at least one year, with good opportunities for extension.

Do you want to work as a laboratory technician in an international industrial environment where quality, safety, and precision are in focus? Here you will have the opportunity to work with advanced laboratory analyses and be part of a close-knit team responsible for quality control of both raw materials and finished products in lubricant production.

About the role

As a laboratory technician, you will work with chemical and physical analyses related to quality control and production support. You will be an important part of the operation and work closely with both colleagues and production in a high-tech laboratory environment.

Examples of analyses and tasks:

  • Viscosity
  • Density
  • FT-IR
  • ICP
  • Pour Point
  • Sampling and documentation according to applicable procedures

The work is carried out at a varying pace depending on production needs. The role requires high precision, structure, and a sense of responsibility, while also providing opportunities to develop your laboratory skills and learn new analytical methods. The team spirit is strong, with both collaboration and individual responsibility in focus.

Working hours and flexibility

Regular working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday, within the timeframe of 06:00-17:00, 8 hours per day. Evening work occurs about one week per month in connection with base oil deliveries and extra sampling. For this role, it is therefore a prerequisite that you reside in the vicinity of Uddevalla. Unfortunately, commuting from Gothenburg is not feasible.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a genuine interest in laboratory work, chemical analyses, and quality control
  • Is meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious
  • Enjoys both independent work and teamwork in a smaller group
  • Is analytical, curious, and wants to develop within laboratory operations
  • Has post-secondary education in chemistry, laboratory technology, or natural sciences, or equivalent high school qualifications combined with relevant experience
  • Is flexible and enjoys a role with varying pace and tasks
  • Speaks and writes fluent Swedish

Previous experience in laboratory work, process industry, or similar analytical environments is advantageous but not a requirement.

We offer

  • A long-term consulting assignment with a global and well-known industrial company
  • Consultant employment through Manpower with collective agreements, insurance, and wellness benefits
  • Access to digital training and skills development
  • Opportunity to build valuable experience in laboratory work and quality control

Location: Uddevalla Start: Immediately

Please submit your application with your CV and cover letter via our website. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
