Senior Project Engineer

We are looking for a senior project engineer who wants to be the technical expert during the sales phase. In this company, you will have the unique responsibility to take complex customer needs and design tailored, feasible technical solutions. ABOUT THE POSITION

Our client is a large, global technology company specializing in developing complex and heavy systems for load and access solutions. The company operates in an industry where projects are unique and impose high demands on durability and precision in challenging environments. This means that almost all equipment must be customized to the customer's specific needs. Therefore, technical expertise and the ability to design special solutions are crucial for winning business and building trust.

You will be part of the sales department in Gothenburg, a team of about 15 people characterized by a strong combination of technical expertise, commercial understanding, and great energy. They have a broad experience structure, ensuring solid knowledge transfer. In project work, you as a project engineer will form a team with the salesperson and another project engineer. While the salesperson drives the commercial aspects and project management, you are the technical expert who ensures that the proposed solution is optimal, feasible, and correctly calculated. This role includes a leading responsibility over a more junior project engineer and requires you to proactively collaborate with more internal departments to secure a complete concept for the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Solution responsibility and calculation: Based on customer needs, determine the best technical solution and lead the work to produce cost calculations, technical specifications, and bid drawings
• Customer communication and presentation: Lead all technical correspondence with the customer, present technical proposals at customer meetings, and build trust
• Risk and transfer responsibility: Identify non-standard equipment, initiate risk management, and ensure that all technical documentation is transferred to the contracting organization after securing the business
• Internal coordination and leadership: Lead the project engineer in project work, confirm the technical solution with all internal stakeholders, and act flexibly in various assignments

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has completed post-secondary education in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering or marine engineering
• Has at least two years of work experience in technical sales or project management within the marine industry
• Has a very good ability to understand steel drawings and electrical diagrams
• Has excellent skills in CAD, preferably Inventor or AutoCAD
• Is fluent in Swedish and English as both languages are used in daily work
• The position requires placement in a security class where Swedish citizenship is a requirement
