We are looking for an electrically skilled engineer who enjoys combining advanced troubleshooting in the lab with on-site customer assignments. Here you will have great freedom, a steep learning curve, and the opportunity to solve technical challenges directly at customer sites.
About the role
As an EMC engineer, you will work to ensure that tomorrow's machines and electronics meet international requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety. The role is very varied, and you will move freely between the company's own lab and exciting assignments at customers' development departments. You will be responsible for the entire chain: from interpreting customer requirements and standards to planning test setups, conducting measurements, and finally delivering a completed verification report.
We are looking for a driven team player who thrives with a large degree of personal responsibility. You have a natural affinity for technology and understand the importance of safety in an electrical environment. You are someone who takes initiative – whether it involves renting a generator for site testing or booking logistics for a travel week. We encourage you to use modern tools like AI to streamline your work and have a genuine interest in learning about technical standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EMC testing, verification, and troubleshooting of products and machines
- Perform both radiated and conducted measurements on-site at customer locations or in the internal lab
- Update and validate test methods and measurement setups for both hardware and software
- Be responsible for project planning, timelines, and documentation of test results
We are looking for someone who
- Has a post-secondary education in electrical engineering, such as electronics or electrical power
- Has a good understanding of electricity and the risks that may arise in testing environments
- Has several years of work experience. It is advantageous if you have worked in technology, electricity, or industry, but the most important thing is that you are used to taking responsibility and have professional maturity
- Holds a valid driver's license (required as the position involves travel in a company car)
- Is fluent in Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
- Is comfortable with traveling approximately one week per month, including hotel stays
It is advantageous if you have
- Experience in EMC measurements, electrical safety testing, or analog technology
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical standards or requirement documents
To succeed in this role, you possess the following personal qualities:
- Stress tolerant
- Social
- Organized
- Responsible
