Manpower is now looking for a laboratory technician for a long-term assignment at ExxonMobil in Uddevalla. The assignment is at least one year with good opportunities for extension. You will be part of a competent lab team working with quality control in a modern industrial environment.

About the role

As a laboratory technician, you will work practically in the laboratory with analyses of raw materials and finished products within lubricants. Examples of analyses include viscosity, density, FT IR, ICP, and Pour Point. You are responsible for sample preparation, analytical work, and documentation according to applicable procedures.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and requires both accuracy and the ability to work independently. The pace varies depending on production needs, and you need to thrive in a structured environment where quality and safety are in focus.

Working hours and location

The working hours are Monday to Friday between 06:00 and 17:00, 8 hours per day. Approximately one week per month, evening work occurs in connection with base oil deliveries and sampling.

The position is located in Uddevalla, and for the working hours to function long-term, it is a requirement that you live in Uddevalla or within a maximum of approximately 30 minutes commuting distance.

Who are you?

You have documented work experience from a laboratory environment and post-secondary education in chemistry or are a trained laboratory technician. Furthermore, you are used to working practically with analyses and sample preparation in a structured and quality-conscious manner. You enjoy working both independently and in a team and are curious and eager to develop within laboratory work.

You speak and write Swedish fluently and have good knowledge of English.
