Job Description

In our client's aerodynamics team, there is a clear drive: to understand, improve, and develop the aerodynamics of our client's turbomachines. Here, engineers in both Trollhättan and Bangalore collaborate on advanced calculations that help us make better technical decisions every day.

We are now looking for a CFD calculation engineer in aerodynamics who wants to contribute both technical depth and an interest in developing methods and work processes.

About the Role

As a CFD calculation engineer in aerodynamics, you will work with:

• Aerodynamic calculations, primarily CFD in Fluent and CFX.
• Optimization of components where performance, thermal requirements, and structural limitations need to be balanced.
• Analysis of existing products, where questions from the field or production can lead to new insights and improvement suggestions.
• Development of our tools, models, and methods – both small adjustments in daily work and larger initiatives in collaboration with universities and research environments.

Your first assignment will be to work with an experienced colleague to develop aerodesign for a new demonstrator project.

Qualifications

• We believe you have a background that makes you thrive in technically advanced environments and appreciate the combination of analysis and collaboration.

You likely have:

• A master's degree in CFD, turbomachines, or aerospace engineering.
• Several years of relevant experience, preferably from gas turbines.
• Good experience with ANSYS Fluent and CFX.
• Experience programming in Python.
• You are analytical, curious, and enjoy working in a team where you learn from each other and develop work processes together.
