About the Company

GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with parts for jet engines together form Engines, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced parts for engines for aircraft and space rockets are developed and manufactured. They also work with engine maintenance.

GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan, Kongsberg (Norway), Mexico, and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore, India, and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The headquarters for Engines is located in Trollhättan.

Your Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Engineer within our space program, you will play a central role in quality work. You will work both operationally and strategically to ensure that our products and processes meet established requirements and standards.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative, drives work forward, and collaborates effectively with various functions within the organization.

• Review change proposals in accordance with our internal management system

• Establish quality plans to meet requirements from ESA and other space customers

• Justify and document changes in our systems according to business routines

• Collaborate with various functions to ensure accurate and clear information

• Review quality documents related to space projects

• Participate in internal audits related to space activities

• Review drawings to ensure that established requirements and standards are met

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• An engineering degree in mechanical engineering, mechanics, product development, or a similar field – or equivalent competence through work experience

• Practical experience in process-driven operations

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Other

The position is located in Trollhättan. Travel within Sweden and the EU may occur.

The position may be subject to security classification, which means a requirement for an approved security clearance.
