Part-time Economist with a focus on ongoing accounting and invoicing

ABOUT THE POSITION

Carlanderska Hospital was inaugurated in 1927 and is a non-profit foundation with the City of Gothenburg as the main sponsor. Carlanderska offers first-class healthcare and reinvests all profits back into the hospital. Carlanderska provides public care, insurance healthcare, and private healthcare both independently and in collaboration with several other healthcare providers. Our client is currently looking for a part-time economist where your main focus will be on invoicing, accounts receivable, and support in ongoing accounting. The position includes an introduction of about 15 hours/week for the first two months and then shifts to a scope of 1-2 days per week. During periods such as summer, Christmas, and at year-end, the workload increases, and we would like you to be available to work more during those times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Invoicing and handling large invoice flows
• Accounts receivable (payments, reminders, simple collections)
• Ongoing accounting and bookkeeping (debit/credit, bank payments)
• Reconciliations and support in year-end work
• General backup for the finance department
• Accounts payable in the long term
• Participate in improvement work and take initiatives

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Are a student in economics and have at least 1-2 years left in your studies
• Are available for an introduction of 15 hours/week for the first 2 months
• Are available long-term (after introduction) 1-2 days/week, more during summer/Christmas and at year-end
• Have previous practical experience in accounting and bookkeeping
• Have a good ability to handle MS Office, especially Excel
• Are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written as it is used in daily work
• Have a structured and meticulous working method
