The City Service Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in Mölndal. The administration has approximately 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and local services, water and recycling, city maintenance, and support and customer service.

Within the support and customer service operational area, there are several important support functions that cater to the entire city, both internally and externally. Here you will find, among other things, resident services, mail handling, administration, and operational development. The support unit is also responsible for issues related to the administration's finances and budget, governance and management, procurement and purchasing, legal matters, committee administration, archives, security work, and follow-up.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an economist who wants to work closely with qualified financial support and contribute to a stable and transparent economy within the City Service Administration.

You will belong to the finance function, which is part of the support unit and work alongside experienced colleagues. In this role, you will provide professional support to the administration's operational and unit managers.

The operations are largely revenue-funded through an internal buying and selling system. Currently, a review of the future financing model is underway, in which you will be involved.

The Service Administration and the Technical Administration merged into the City Service Administration in September 2024. We are now continuing to develop working methods and financial management in preparation for the next step. Next year, a joint City Service Committee will be formed from today's two committees. We are now in an exciting phase with the task of reforming and developing the unit in preparation for this committee merger. Would you like to be part of this journey?

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring good financial monitoring, control, and quality
• Producing financial reports, analyses, and decision-making materials
• Being an active support in budget, forecast, and year-end work
• Conducting financial investigations and in-depth analyses
• Participating in joint financial processes and development work within the administration and the city

The work takes place in close dialogue with the operations and is characterized by collaboration, structure, and a focus on the future.

You will work in the city's financial system Unit4 ERP, the purchasing and invoice management system Proceedo, and the follow-up tool Hypergene.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in economics or equivalent education deemed equivalent
• Experience in qualified accounting and controller work
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good system familiarity and experience working in financial systems
• Experience in municipal finance is an advantage.
