Job Responsibilities

We are an HR department with seven colleagues who support our managers in the administration with HR issues.

We also work with various responsibilities to manage strategic assignments and processes within the HR area.

The role of HR specialist with us is varied and involves a broad and independent work where you will be directed as support to one of our operational departments. You regularly participate in the department's management team, where you are active as a partner in current HR issues for the business. You also assist with joint material for the administration in the processes you have particular responsibility for.

Working as an HR specialist within social services requires that you can relate to being a support to operations that handle complex assignments and whose employees have a work environment that contains a number of challenges. As support to the operations, you need to be able to transform your knowledge into possible alternatives and recommendations that enable correct and good decisions to be made.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with the operations to understand their needs and provide advice and support in HR issues
• Support in cases and ensure compliance with labor law regulations
• Manager recruitment and support in salary setting
• Working with workplace environment issues
• Handling and analysis of personnel statistics
• Support in rehabilitation issues
• Competence development within the HR area
• Working with employee surveys
• Union collaboration and negotiation
• Development of HR processes

The city of Gothenburg is a large organization where we are expected to work together for the whole. Therefore, working as an HR specialist in the city means that you have many contact points and collaborations outside your own administration, for example through process groups and network meetings on common issues. Particularly close collaboration exists between the four social administrations that have similar core assignments.

The city offers good opportunities for competence development and training within our areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

You have a university degree in human resources and labor science or another equivalent bachelor's degree that the employer assesses as equivalent and experience of operational HR work.

We are looking for someone who is ready to take on new challenges and sees the value in working together towards common goals. You are a secure person and your communication skills contribute to a positive work environment. With a good ability to build relationships, you create good opportunities for collaboration and cooperation. Through a structured working method, you manage several tasks in parallel and ensure that the work is carried out according to established timelines.

Other

We are located at Vågmästaregatan together with other support functions and operations. The central location near Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen makes it easy to commute to us. We have our own workspace where we share a room with a colleague.

About Us

The Social Administration Hisingen is part of the social services in the city of Gothenburg. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support within individual and family care, social emergency services, assistance with addiction, and integration issues. We also work with recreational activities and preventive work regarding, for example, public health work, community planning, local safety work, and integration issues.
