Description

We are now looking for a service-oriented telephone operator.

In this role, you will often be the first point of contact with the municipality. You will work closely with other employees who interact with our customers. Together, you play a key role in creating a safe, accessible, and professional service. The position is located in the communications department, which leads the municipality's internal and external communication efforts.

The technological development in communication and service is rapid and has contributed to the evolution and broadening of the telephone operator role in recent years. New digital tools, channels, and working methods create increased opportunities to provide effective and accessible service, while the demands for flexibility and digital competence are rising. This means that the role is constantly evolving in line with our residents' needs and the possibilities of digitalization.

Responsibilities

The work is characterized by a high service focus, a good approach, and a strong commitment to helping people in various situations. Your tasks include:

  • Guiding residents, businesses, and visitors primarily via phone, but also through other channels.
  • Answering questions related to the entire municipality and ensuring that the right information reaches the right recipients.
  • Providing support when information in digital channels is insufficient.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should be flexible, proactive, and have a genuine interest in service, digitalization, and making everyday life easier for our residents, businesses, and visitors. You should be aware of what is happening in society and have a positive view of people, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate easily, and be receptive.

The work requires:

  • An interest in social issues.
  • Good digital competence and the ability to handle multiple systems simultaneously.
  • The ability to quickly find, interpret, absorb, and convey information in a way that makes it easy for others to understand.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of the English language.

Education

Completed upper secondary education in areas such as service, communication, administration, or another field deemed appropriate. Post-secondary education with a service or community focus is an advantage.

Experience

You should have experience working in service and information professions. Experience from working in contact centers, citizen offices, customer centers, call centers, receptions, or similar roles with many customer contacts is advantageous, preferably with a strong focus on telephony.
