Summer Substitute for the Finance Unit at Vara Municipality

Do you want to gain valuable work experience in finance while contributing to community benefit? Vara Municipality is now seeking a summer substitute for our finance unit during the summer of 2026.

Your Role

As a summer substitute in the finance unit, you will gain a good insight into how financial work operates in a municipality. Your work is an important part of ensuring that the municipality's financial flows function correctly and efficiently.

Examples of Tasks:

• Handling supplier invoices in accounts payable
• Registration, coding, and verification of invoices
• Ongoing bookkeeping of financial transactions
• Contact with suppliers regarding simple invoice inquiries
• Support to the organization for financial inquiries
• Other administrative tasks within the finance area

Your Knowledge and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

• Is studying finance, accounting, administration, or similar at a post-secondary level
• Is at least 18 years old
• Has good computer skills and preferably knowledge of Excel
• Is meticulous, structured, and responsible
• Has a collaborative spirit and a service-oriented approach

Previous experience in financial work is an advantage but not a requirement.
