Police Region West

Police Region West consists of Halland County and Västra Götaland County. The operations in the region are organized into five police areas: Fyrbodal, Halland, Skaraborg, Storgöteborg, and Älvsborg, which are further divided into 16 local police areas. Additionally, there are four regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, the investigation unit, and the border police unit, a regional office, operational HR, and Communication, as well as national departments represented in the region to support police operations.

Regional Investigation Unit

The regional investigation unit is responsible, together with the police areas, for the region's investigative operations. The investigation unit coordinates and drives operational development from a regional perspective in collaboration with the national operational department and other regions. The regional investigation unit works with, among other things, the investigation of serious crime, victim work, and forensic science.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a business developer, you will work to enhance the Police Authority's overall capability in criminal economics, primarily related to businesses. To thrive in this role, it is essential to have a focus on crime and to proactively understand the vulnerabilities present in society.

In this role, you will work flexibly, guiding and supporting to contribute your expertise in increasing understanding and spreading your knowledge in the field. It is crucial that you possess an understanding of the various characteristics of crime and can contribute both operationally and strategically with your skills. Other examples of tasks included in the role may involve acting as a lead investigator.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • A university degree in law or economics, or another equivalent education assessed by the employer
  • Extensive experience working with criminal economics
  • Extensive experience leading investigations within the operational area.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Documented experience in development work within criminal economics.
  • Experience working from another authority within the operational area.
  • Experience working with criminal economics aimed at businesses
  • Good experience with oral presentations

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks and drives their work forward in a self-sufficient, structured, and efficient manner. You create successful collaborations by being unpretentious, attentive, and curious. You have a desire to work with a focus on crime with a proactive approach.

Furthermore, you have a good ability to professionally represent your area of expertise in various contexts and have a strong mission focus. As a person, you are stable and can manage several complicated work processes simultaneously and handle work peaks in a balanced way.

As a business developer, you encounter various goals and community groups in your work daily, which is why you have the ability to communicate pedagogically both orally and in writing. You are dynamically adaptable in a changing criminal landscape where you are development-oriented and eager to share your knowledge.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
