Communicator at Göta Trängregemente

Göta Trängregemente is Sweden's logistics regiment. This means we create the conditions for the army to continue defending Sweden and our allies. We move the army forward! We are now looking for a communicator. In this role, you will report to the commander and contribute primarily to implementing but also planning and evaluating the regiment's communication. This requires a communicator with social skills who can portray our activities through photos, films, and text for publication on our social media accounts, intranet, and other channels.

Main Responsibilities

Your task is to convey messages and information to specific target groups in selected channels. This is done through communication efforts that take place where the activities are. It is therefore not uncommon to visit a unit in the field in the morning and be in the office in the afternoon. Work in the field can be both physically and mentally demanding. The work mainly involves photographing, filming, writing, and publishing for the regiment's digital channels. You will also be involved in conducting measurements, evaluations, and development of existing channels. A key quality for success is social ability as the task requires a lot of contact with many people and the ability to speak in front of larger groups.

Other Responsibilities

• Responsible for photo and film equipment
• Responsible for the unit's image bank and image management
• Develop the regiment's presence on our social media channels
• Participate in various communication projects

Qualifications

• You have post-secondary education in media and communication science, or education/experience that we assess as equivalent
• You have good knowledge of photography and film
• Good writing skills for reports
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Driver's license B

• Previous service in the Armed Forces

As a communicator at the regiment, you can expect a varied role; changing conditions and quick decisions are not uncommon. To communicate our activities, they need to be followed, often up close. Enjoying working with people is therefore a prerequisite for being able to tell what they do. It also requires that you are confident in yourself and humble in the task of asking the questions needed to understand the operations. You are good at taking your own initiatives and have the ability to work independently.

• The position requires on-site work in Skövde, and the possibility for remote work is limited

• The position is currently located at Göta Trängregemente T 2 in Skövde, where you will also be war-placed
