Business Developer at the Swedish Tax Agency

Are you interested in working with the development of operations and organizations? We are now looking for an experienced business developer for the Swedish Tax Agency's personal taxation department.

Within the area of personal taxation, we continuously work to develop operations to effectively meet new conditions and changes in taxation, and you will play a central role in this work. Join us in making society possible!

About the Job

Based on needs and the department's priorities, we carry out business development from needs to achieved effects. The work is done in close collaboration with case officers and in dialogue with, for example, other authorities, companies, and industry organizations.

The unit supports the department in development issues, continuous improvements, internal efficiency, and promotes digital transformation based on customer needs. A large part of the authority's operations within the area of taxation is currently conducted in our digital processes, and taxation is an area with a very high degree of automated determination. We take responsibility for ensuring that the services we develop and manage support the direction of the Swedish Tax Agency.

You contribute to collaboration and innovative thinking, creating conditions for active employee participation that leads to results, development, and a good working environment.

You have an agile approach, work with business development from a holistic perspective, as well as with service design and change management to create value for our customers. You are curious and want to operate in the digital environment where technology, law, and architecture interact.

We are looking for someone who is an experienced business developer, accustomed to working with complex development issues in an agile context, and who is comfortable working in a context where everything is not clear.

You have flexible working hours based on the operations, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure. There is some opportunity to work remotely. You will belong to the Development Unit in the personal taxation department. The department operates in several locations. Possible locations for this position are Sundbyberg, Gothenburg, Nyköping, Sundsvall, Uppsala, Falun, or Luleå. About 30 colleagues work in the unit.

About You

In this job, you should:

  • have good collaboration skills, the ability to cooperate with others, and build relationships and networks
  • have the ability and willingness to learn new things, be adaptable and open to change, have good problem-solving skills, see patterns, and be able to make delimitations
  • have a very good ability to work independently, which means you plan and drive your work forward to achieve good results
  • have a good ability to adapt your message according to the audience and situation
  • express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English and communicate in an engaging manner
  • be able to analyze information flows, see connections, and make decisions.

You should also have:

  • a university degree of at least 180 credits/120 ECTS in a relevant field for the position or relevant work experience in qualified work in a relevant field
  • current and relevant work experience in working with legislated development or current and relevant work experience in leading development initiatives in a larger organization.

It is desirable that you have current and relevant experience in business development methodology and process mapping, and that you have worked systematically with needs collection and requirements and stakeholder analysis. It is also an advantage if you have experience in interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Good to Know

An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
