Our Offer

As a tax lawyer specializing in VAT at Forvis Mazars, you will play a central role in developing and managing our tax assignments. You will primarily work with:

• Value Added Tax (VAT) for businesses and organizations
• Participation in advisory assignments and projects related to VAT
• Investigations, analyses, and preparation of documentation and recommendations
• Contacts with clients and authorities, together with more senior colleagues

In this role, you will take responsibility for client assignments related to VAT: from analysis and documentation to advisory and delivery. You will independently drive parts of assignments, lead smaller sub-projects, and ensure high quality, with ongoing client contact and close collaboration with more senior colleagues. Over time, you will have the opportunity to take on greater overall responsibility and support more junior colleagues.

We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in VAT who wants to continue developing in an advisory and consultative role. You are engaged, business-oriented, and enjoy working independently on assignments while valuing teamwork. You have begun to take responsibility in client dialogues and demonstrate a structured and professional working method, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to the needs of the assignment. You are confident in your communication and have the ambition to take on greater responsibility in both assignments and client relationships over time.

Furthermore, we would like you to have:

• 3-5 years of experience working with VAT or another relevant area of tax law, for example, from a firm, authority, or company
• A law degree or other relevant legal education
• A good understanding of VAT regulations and a desire to deepen your knowledge further
• Experience working on assignments or projects, preferably in collaboration with more senior colleagues
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

Additionally, in 2027, we plan to move to the newly built Kvarteret Johanna. Around 30 people work at the Gothenburg office in close collaboration within both audit and tax.
