The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

About Högsbo Local Hospital

Högsbo Local Hospital offers an exciting workplace where you have the opportunity to work with new methods and where you will be an important part of introducing new innovative working methods for close care. Högsbo Local Hospital is a so-called smart hospital where we combine innovative methods with future IT support to enable high-quality care with the patient in focus. The hospital has a day surgery center, a specialist center with radiology, and sampling for adults and children. Högsbo Local Hospital is an important part of the development of local healthcare in the Gothenburg area.

Description

The Referral Unit is an organization within the Hospitals in the West and acts as a support organization for the expanded assignment of regional healthcare within the Gothenburg area. The Referral Unit is responsible for the joint management of incoming referrals to the administration for the activities included in it and is responsible for coordination, collaboration, support, and management of referral volumes to and from the Hospitals in the West.

Job Responsibilities

As a summer substitute in the Referral Unit, you will primarily work with simple registration in the patient administrative systems ELVIS and SÄLMA.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is or is studying to become a medical secretary or has other education/experience in healthcare administration that the employer assesses as equivalent. We are looking for summer substitutes who can work during the holiday period with a requirement to be available from week 28 to 31. You have a high sense of service, an interest in documentation, are quick to learn new tasks, and enjoy working systematically with data entry. Previous experience working in a hospital or knowledge of the patient administrative system ELVIS is an advantage.
