Job Description

Then this may be the right role for you.
As a Business Developer in Aerospace & Defense at dSPACE, you will play a key role in establishing and further developing the company's initiative towards the defense industry in Sweden. You will proactively create new contacts in the industry and act as an advisory partner to our future customers in their complex development projects.
In this role, you will:
- Identify and analyze which aerospace & defense companies are most relevant to target.
- Open doors and create new business through proactive prospecting, networking, and meeting scheduling, with the support of the team.
- Drive sales processes with longer cycles: From initial contact and needs analysis to quotes, decisions, and startup.
- Be the main contact for the customer, and together with technical specialists ensure the right solution, right expectations, and a secure delivery.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in Sweden and globally at dSPACE, involving expertise and resources from Germany when needed for larger/more customized setups.
- Continuously monitor technical trends, standards, customer needs, and competition, and contribute input on how dSPACE develops its offerings.
- Become part of an international initiative within Aerospace & Defense and exchange experiences globally.
The role is primarily focused on the aerospace & defense industry, but you may also have elements related to other segments (e.g., automotive) to build understanding, references, and customer value.
Location: Gothenburg or Stockholm. Travel may be required.
Your Profile
To succeed with us, we prefer that you have an engineering background. In addition, we believe you have:
- Experience in business development/new customer acquisition and managing relationships in environments with technical decision-makers.
- Good understanding of the defense industry: How it works, what requirements govern it, and how to build trust in a regulated and quality-driven context.
- Understanding of the development of embedded control systems (embedded/ECU) and testing/validation; you don't need to have all the answers, but you must understand the questions and be able to have a credible dialogue with engineers.
- The ability to work systematically in longer processes while being “hands-on” in creating new contacts.
