The Department of Health and Care Sciences conducts education and research focusing on care, health, and people's living conditions. We train nurses, radiology nurses, specialist nurses, and midwives with the goal of meeting society's need for competent and committed healthcare personnel. The research at the department spans many areas but has a common starting point in person-centered and evidence-based care. We are nationally and internationally leading in person-centered care, and this perspective permeates both education, research, and collaboration with healthcare. The department is part of the Sahlgrenska Academy at Gothenburg University and operates on the Medicinareberget Campus, in close proximity to Sahlgrenska University Hospital, an environment characterized by interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical relevance, and high academic quality. Our department has about 1,200 students training in licensed professions in healthcare, both at the undergraduate and advanced levels.

Job Responsibilities
As a center coordinator, you will be responsible for three main areas: Strategic and operational collaboration, communication and environmental monitoring, and operational and administrative coordination.
In this role, you will proactively work to strengthen the center's presence in public debate and coordinate work around steering groups, national and international reference groups, and target group representatives. You will be responsible, together with the center's communicator, for developing, implementing, and following up on the communication strategy and communication plan, as well as producing and tailoring content for the website, social media, newsletters, and printed materials.
You will conduct continuous environmental monitoring at the national and international levels, monitor relevant political and authority-related initiatives within the healthcare sector, and report to the center director and management group. Furthermore, you will coordinate and administer external seminars and events, nationally and internationally, as well as plan and quality assure internal meetings and activities.
You will serve as the center's contact point for external inquiries, manage the functional mailbox and newsletter, and coordinate and carry out administrative tasks such as reporting, follow-ups, and various surveys.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in health sciences, social sciences, communication, or another education deemed relevant for the assignment. Other education combined with work experience that is considered equivalent may also be relevant, such as experience as a project coordinator, controller, or coordinator for clinical trials.
You should have good knowledge of care and support within the dementia and elderly care area, both within municipal operations and regional primary care. Furthermore, you should have a good understanding of the research process and experience working in a research environment, where both qualitative and quantitative methods are used.
It is an advantage if you have work experience from an educational institution and coordinating tasks related to project work.
The role requires a high degree of digital maturity. You work fluently in various IT systems, have a good understanding of systems, and possess very good skills in MS Office. Experience with publishing tools is a requirement. It is also advantageous if you have worked with social media tools and with the production of film and other communication materials.
The language requirements are fluent Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form, as both languages are used in daily work.
