Sanda Adapted Upper Secondary School is part of Sandagymnasiet. The school has a clear sports profile where Sanda Sports Center is part of the operation. Approximately 1200 students attend the school, and there are about 200 staff members in the organization. Your new job

As a special teacher focusing on music and aesthetic activities at our adapted upper secondary school, you will primarily work with teaching and related tasks. You will be part of a team consisting of various professional roles, all working together around the students during their school day. You will teach in our three different programs: the Individual Program, the Social, Natural and Language Program, and the Aesthetic Activities Program.

You are responsible for and aware of the students' results, which means being attentive, flexible, and responsive to each student's conditions and needs. Your belief in the students' ability to develop should be high, and you possess the ability to capture and stimulate the students' curiosity, interest, and learning.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is primarily a trained special teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities and is qualified in the subject of music and/or the field of aesthetic activities, or alternatively a qualified teacher in music who is interested in further training as a special teacher in this area. You have knowledge and experience in alternative augmentative communication (AAC), including sign-supported communication (TAKK), and knowledge and experience with students with various disabilities. It is desirable if you have knowledge of NPF/Autism and experience from adapted schools (formerly special schools).

Basic IT skills are a requirement, and you use ICT as a natural part of teaching. We place great emphasis on taking responsibility for relevant professional development to grow and want to develop together with others in the profession. Personal suitability is of great importance.
