Höglandsförbundet is a municipal federation formed by Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located in Småland's highlands, value collaboration and understand that we are stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, better utilize resources, improve quality, and provide better service to residents. Today, we have a variety of operations working for the benefit of the entire Höglandet.

One of the operations within Höglandsförbundet is Höglandsgymnasiet. Höglandsgymnasiet has schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have about 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future in the workforce or for further studies.

Your New Job

We are looking for a teaching assistant for Njudungsgymnasiet at 50%.

The assignment involves providing support in schoolwork for a student with reduced vision. This includes assisting the student in navigating instructions, assignments, and learning materials. You will also be available to assist the student during transitions within the school, such as to the cafeteria, auditorium, etc. You will work closely with the mentor and other teachers that the student has in their classes.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must be clear in your communication. You should have a collaborative spirit and a good ability to build trusting relationships. Previous experience working with young people is an advantage.

The temporary employment lasts for the school year with good opportunities for extension.

As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement, in accordance with the Education Act, that you present a criminal record extract for work in schools. You can request this extract on the police's website.

If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You can do this by presenting a valid passport or a personal certificate along with a valid ID. If you are a Swedish citizen, you can download a personal certificate from the tax agency under my pages. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EES, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only occur after the work permit has been verified, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
